It is with deep sadness that the Southern California Mountains Foundation shares the passing of longtime Board Member Stan Miller.

Stan joined the Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2007 and gave nearly two decades of dedicated service to our organization. During that time, he generously shared his time, insight, and leadership in support of the Foundation’s mission and the mountain communities he cared so deeply about.

Stan was especially committed to the Big Bear Discovery Center and the Music in the Mountains concert series. His thoughtful guidance, advocacy, and steady support helped strengthen both programs and ensured they would continue to serve residents and visitors alike.

Those who worked with Stan will remember his great smile, easy laughter, and his willingness to speak his mind. He shared his knowledge generously and consistently encouraged the Foundation to grow stronger and better in its work. His perspective, energy, and dedication will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Stan’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. His contributions to the Southern California Mountains Foundation and the communities we serve leave a lasting legacy, and we are grateful for the many years we were able to work with him.
