Events
See what we here at Southern California Mountains Foundation have in store for you and what exciting new adventures await! Our calendar holds all of the latest and greatest upcoming events in our mountains and holds links to where you can find even more information about them. Go ahead and take a look and see what events are on their way and you should be attending!
Please join our monthly volunteer events to restore disturbed lands across the San Bernardino National Forest. All events will improve habitat for wildlife, plants, the Monarch butterfly, and other pollinators. Activities may include collecting and dispersing native seeds, planting native species, slashing, barrier installation, nursery work, watering and restoration site maintenance. Some events will require driving on USFS dirt roads. A high clearance vehicle is recommended, 4-wheel drive not required.
Two weeks prior to each event, a flyer will be emailed to our volunteers with the project description, logistics, and how to sign up. To add your name to the mailing list, please contact Drew at 909-522-1363 or Lisa at Lunderwood@mountainsfoundation.org.
Our 2023 volunteer events are designed with your safety in mind and will follow strict COVID-19 guidelines. Please sign up in advance. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Bring face mask, sturdy shoes, sun protection, lunch, and water. Gloves, tools, restrooms, and hand sanitizer will be provided.
