Southern California Mountains Foundation Seeks Public Input for State OHMVR Grants
The Southern California Mountains Foundation (SCMF) will be seeking public input for their upcoming State of California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVR) preliminary grants that will be submitted on March 6, 2023 with the final grant applications due June 5, 2023.
California state regulations require public input prior to the preliminary application deadline for this fund allocation process. These grants will support restoration activities on Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) damaged lands on both the San Bernardino National Forest and lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office.
The Southern California Mountains Foundation and the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation have maintained a successful partnership for more than 20 years and have granted the Foundation funding to produce quality safety and education programs and several successful restoration projects on the San Bernardino National Forest. SCMF has been a longtime partner of the San Bernardino National Forest and is excited to expand restoration work on BLM lands.
We are encouraging the public to provide suggestions for our grants that will improve our Restoration Program. Public meetings will be held virtually on the following date:
