Celebrating Our June Corpsmembers of the Month
Each month, the Urban Conservation Corps recognizes Corpsmembers who go above and beyond – those who lead by example, show up with a strong work ethic, and make a positive impact on their peers and the community. For June, we’re proud to honor Brandon Delgado from our Coachella Valley site and Alex Martinez from our San Bernardino facility as our Corpsmembers of the Month!
Brandon Delgado – Coachella Valley
Brandon, 19, from Cathedral City, has been a part of the UCC for nearly five months. In that time, he has distinguished himself through his dedication, consistency, and willingness to grow. Brandon describes the UCC as offering “great work experience with a good environment,” and it’s clear that he values the opportunities the program provides. He encourages others to join the Corps, calling it “a great way to start your life of employment.” Brandon also highlights the strong work ethic and respectful nature of his fellow Corpsmembers, saying that being open to learning and teamwork is key to success. We appreciate Brandon’s drive and his thoughtful leadership in the field.
Alex Martinez – San Bernardino
Alex, 18, has served at both the San Bernardino and Coachella Valley sites over the past five months. Known by his peers and supervisors alike for his quiet strength and reliability, Alex brings a thoughtful and focused energy to the Corps. He takes pride in working hard, learning new skills, and supporting his team. “I enjoy the opportunities UCC gives and the work that we do,” he says. For Alex, the UCC is not just a job – it’s a second chance and a place to grow. He values meeting and working with new people and always encourages safe and respectful work habits on the job. We are grateful for his consistent effort and positive attitude.
