5th Annual Treats & Trails Brings Community Together on Rathbun Trail

This past Saturday, the Southern California Mountains Foundation’s Big Bear Trails Program
hosted our 5th Annual Treats & Trails event — and what a fantastic day it was!

Taking place along Big Bear’s scenic Rathbun Trail, the event celebrated outdoor recreation,
community partnerships, and the joy of exploring our beautiful city trails. Families, friends, and
outdoor enthusiasts came together to enjoy a day filled with treats, activities, and nature.
We were thrilled to welcome five trails volunteer booths and 13 community organizations,
each sharing resources, fun activities, and ways to get involved in local recreation and
conservation efforts. Their participation helped highlight the many opportunities to enjoy and
protect Big Bear’s unique trail network.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, or represented their organization
— your support continues to make events like this possible. The Big Bear Trails Program is
dedicated to maintaining, improving, and celebrating our community’s trail system, and Treats &
Trails is one of our favorite ways to bring everyone together for that mission.

We can’t wait to see you out on the trails — and we’re already looking forward to next year’s
celebration!
