
John Muir Charter School
Some of our corpsmembers face the added challenge of finding their way in a competitive job market without a high school diploma. In 2006 the Urban Conservation Corps established a program designed to maximize the empowerment of all of its members.
The Southern California Mountains Foundation now has two locations offering members the chance to earn a high school diploma while gaining workforce skills. Students typically complete the program in 18 or 24 months and come away with not only a diploma, but also valuable work experience that helps them transition into successful post-secondary education, and careers in professional and military sectors.
