Partnership Spotlight – Youth Service Corps

The Southern California Mountains Foundation is proud to partner with the City of Rancho Cucamonga and the City of Big Bear Lake with grants through the California Volunteers Youth Service Corps program. This initiative engages young people in addressing critical community issues, with a strong emphasis on public service and climate action. Through hands-on projects, participants develop valuable job skills, gain real-world experience, and establish pathways toward careers in public service.

With the support of the City of Rancho Cucamonga and the City of Big Bear Lake, SCMF’s UCC Corpsmembers receive training and experience in conservation efforts, sustainability projects, and other public service initiatives. This partnership not only enhances local communities but also equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed for future success in the environmental and public service sectors. Through the Youth Service Corps, young people are empowered to contribute to positive change while building a strong foundation for careers dedicated to community service and sustainability.
