Corpsmembers of the Month
October 2024 – Congratulations to SCMF’s UCC Corpsmembers of the month for October! Aidan Wolfe, Corpsmember of the Month for October at the Coachella Valley facility, is a great worker, always on time. He also volunteered for 4 spikes in this season so far. Aidan is 21 and lives in Joshua Tree. “I’ve been at the UCC for about 2 months. I enjoy working with the UCC because of the closeness of all the Corpsmembers and the Staff also working outdoors is great. Others should join team to make an active difference in wilderness conservation. Plus all of the trainings and opportunities. Many of the other corpsmembers enjoy being here and being supportive and positive. I think it’s a great idea to join the UCC for new Corpmembers to just push themselves to try new things. The UCC is a great program full of opportunities and support.”
Martin Gonzalez, is the Corpsmember of the Month for October at the San Bernardino facility. Martin recently completed the Basic 32 Wildland Firefighter training, a 32-hour training program for wildland firefighters that prepares students to qualify for entry-level positions. He comes ready to work everyday and is always in high spirits. “I’m 23 and live in San Bernardino. I’ve been at the UCC for about 3 months. I enjoy working with the UCC because I love giving back to the community and improving it. Others should join the UCC to better themselves and the community around them. I love interacting with my peers at the UCC and picking them up when they are not feeling at their best. I appreciate everything the UCC does for me.”
Congratulations! And thank you to each crew and Corpsmember – SCMF is grateful for all of the work the UCC does to link community with conservation.
