Corpsmember of the Month – March
Let’s congratulate SCMF’s Corpsmembers for the month of February! Emely Alarcon is our Corpsmember of the month at the San Bernardino facility, her good spirits and dedication have not gone unnoticed!
Here’s a little bit more about Emely. “I am 22 years old and I have dedicated my time at UCC for about 10 months now. I love how the UCC is a stepping stone for me to reach a few of my professional goals. If you are a dedicated person looking to enhance your work experience in a meaningful and impactful way then UCC is a wonderful place to begin. In general working with cohorts is a bit difficult, but by maintaining a positive and respectful attitude it can make a positive impact on the team’s day as well as yours. My advice to others is to not let self-negativity be the culprit that strips you away from any opportunities that will enhance your personal and professional development.” Thank you Emely!!
Peter Grajiola-Wameling is our Corpsmember of the month at the Coachella Valley facility. Peter is a great worker and is always on time. He is always trying to help everyone. He also gets along very well with everyone else. Peter is very kind to everyone he encounters. Here is a little bit more about Peter. “I’m 20 and live in Indio . I’ve been at the UCC for about 2.5 months. There are a lot of friendly people that make the UCC fun. Others should join the UCC because there is a lot of motivation including different types of work. I love working with other Corpsmembers, they are nice, fun and caring. My advice to others looking to join the UCC is to give it a try even though you think it’s scary the UCC plus the Corpmembers will help out and explain how to complete each project. All of the events and spikes we do are really fun!”
The Southern California Mountains Foundation is very grateful to all crew and Corpsmembers for their dedication and preservation in linking the community with nature through conservation!
