Let’s congratulate our Corpsmembers of the month for January! Michael Hernandez is our Corpsmember of the month in San Bernardino. “I am 19 years old and from Colton. I’ve been working with the UCC for eight months now. I enjoy the projects that we get to do like cutting trees, hiking, planting, the paid training and certificates we get. Others should join the UCC for the experience, for the certifications and the knowledge on how to use tools. It’s nice to work with other Corpsmembers. I encourage others to join the UCC, have an open mind, keep pushing and enjoy the experience of it.”

Marco Bautista-Miramontes is our Corpsmember of the month at the Coachella Valley facility. Marco is a great worker and is always on time he is always trying to help everyone. He also gets along very well with everyone else. “I’m 22 and live in Indio. I’ve been at the UCC for almost two months. I enjoy working for the UCC because we get to work outdoors and do it for a good cause. People should Join the UCC because it’s a great program that has a lot of opportunities to offer. I like working with other Corpsmembers a lot, everyone is nice and helpful. My advice to new Corpsmembers is, drink a lot of water and lookout for each other in the field especially. I love working for the UCC, it’s the best job I have ever had.”
