September 2024 – Congratulations Raymond Domingo and Daveon Easley as the Corpsmembers of the month for August! Raymond, from the Coachella Valley facility, is always helping his fellow Corpsmembers. Raymond recently started an Internship with Desert Rec District. “I am 25 years old and I am from the North Shore. I enjoy working at the UCC because, I love working outdoors as well as working with my fellow Corpsmembers to accomplish a goal together. Others should join the team to learn about how to take care of the environment. I love working with the other Corpsmembers, they’re very helpful and are hard workers. This has been a great experience and I love working with Southern California Mountains Foundation’s partners, I am learning a lot working with them.”

Daveon Easley is the Corpsmember of the month for August at the San Bernardino site. In the short time that Daveon has been with the UCC, the leadership team he has worked with has only good things to say about him. Daveon is taking advantage of his summer and will be attending UC Irvine come September. “I am 18 years old and was born in Las Vegas but have lived in California since I was 5 years old and I’ve been working at the UCC for 3 months now. I enjoy working with the UCC because of the people and the experience I get to have with nature while also working out in the field. Others should definitely give this job a chance for the experience you get for jobs to come later. It gives you training and is a great job to get out there. The other Corpsmembers are wonderful to work with and are really helpful towards one another. This has just been an amazing job for me for the summer before I depart for college.”
