Congratulations to our December Corpsmembers of the month!!

Christian Parra is our Corpsmember of the month for December at the Coachella Valley site. He has been an outstanding Corpsmember since joining! He is always on time and ready to work and help others. Christian says, “I am 22 years old and live in Coachella Valley, California. I have been with UCC for almost 4 months. I enjoy working with the UCC because of the opportunity to learn and grow and to see nature, also working alongside everyone has been awesome.
I believe others should join because it’s a great opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience especially if you haven’t worked before and to help out the environment. It has been wonderful working with the other Corpsmembers there helpful and friendly. The journey starts with the first step; I am glad to have been able to work here. Overall, I enjoy and have a great time working at the UCC.”

Carlos Garcia is Corpmember of the Month at the San Bernardino location. “Hi my name is Carlos. I am 26 years old and I was raised in San Bernardino, California. I have been working at Urban Conservation Corps for 6 months and enjoy working at the Corps because everyday is a new challenge. On occasions we are planting trees in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, creating new gates, cleaning storm drains, other days we are pruning trees at our local parks, or maintaining trails. I believe others should join the team because you gain multiple certifications and skills that could help benefit your future. I find working with other corpsmembers fun and together we enjoy improving the community.”
