SCMF Summer Fun Outdoors: Celebrating Our Team at Oak Glen Preserve
Earlier this summer, the Southern California Mountains Foundation team came together at the beautiful Oak Glen Preserve for a special all-staff gathering. Since our work spans across three locations, these opportunities to connect, reflect, and celebrate are truly meaningful.
The day was filled with laughter, team-building games, and plenty of good food. Staff members from across our programs had the chance to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate the incredible work we’ve accomplished together this year.
In addition to games and activities, the event also included staff awards, recognizing team members who have gone above and beyond in their roles. These moments remind us just how impactful our collective efforts are in caring for our mountains, trails, and communities.
With programs ranging from trail stewardship and urban conservation to visitor engagement and off-highway vehicle safety, our team is often spread across different sites and initiatives. Bringing everyone together in one place helps strengthen relationships, foster collaboration, and reinforce our shared mission.
This special day was made possible thanks to Fulcrum instructors for their leadership and guiding us in a day of connection. We’re deeply grateful for this support, which allowed us to celebrate the people behind our work – our incredible staff.
Here’s to another year of working hard, growing together, and caring for the Southern California mountains and communities we serve.
