Winter Nature Talk and Activity

December 20 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm PST

Come to the Discovery Center and join in on a nature based talk and activity! In the month of December we will be focusing on winter plant adaptation as apart of our winter education series.

Have you ever wondered why the leaves change color and why some don’t? Do you know why each snowflake takes on a distinctly unique shape? As your local gateway to adventure and discovery, find the answers to your nature related questions and participate in a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy while visiting the Big Bear Discovery Center!

This activity is free to all visitors and made possible by the hard work of our Big Bear Discovery Center Volunteer Group and the generous donations from our public visitors to the Southern California Mountains Foundation. Next time you are visiting the center and participating in a free activity please consider giving a cash donation, or visit our website at this link to donate.
