Join a Big Bear Discovery Center volunteer and naturalist on a guided wildflower walk on the Baldwin Lake pebble plain. Meet at the Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve to look at the exhibits inside the visitor center and embark on a journey to learn more about the wildflowers known as “belly plants”. The reserve is open to the public from 10am-2pm. Guided wildflower walks leave promptly at 11:00am and 12:30pm. Don’t miss out on this beautiful spring activity!
Join us for an Earth Day Celebration Event at the Big Bear Discovery Center on April 20th from 10 am to 3pm. Discovery Center staff and volunteers along with community organizations will be providing informative and fun booths, promoting responsible recreation activities on the San Bernardino National Forest. Activities will include environmental education programing, crafts, nature walks, and a wildflower tour at the Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve.
