Southern California Mountains Foundation Job Opportunities
Big Bear, Calif., April 21, 2017 –
The Southern California Mountains Foundation (SCMF) is seeking 9 highly motivated and energetic people to assist with interpretive and education programs at the Big Bear Discovery Center and throughout the San Bernardino National Forest. These jobs are being offered through SCMF’s Urban Conservation Corps (UCC) which
offers young men and women (18-25 year olds) the chance to serve in the local mountains and work in environmental conservation settings that increase their job readiness. Current employment opportunities include an Environmental Education and Program Coordinator, a Forest Resource Monitor, a Customer Service Representative, a Children’s Forest Site Leader, Discovery Center Custodian, and multiple Corpsmembers to lead nature walks and eco-tours. We also are recruiting individuals’ ages 18-25 years old to join our Americorps program, based out of San Bernardino, to perform forest restoration work.
