Reading Animal Tracks

This 45 minute indoor class will help you read animal tracks and then learn to identify animal behavior and reach conclusions about what is happening in a particular scenario.  The class is designed for youth, ages 10-17, and adults.  There is no cost but donations are welcome.  Class size is limited to ten participants, therefore reservations are required.  Sign up at front desk.

Join us for a 45 minute walk to learn about the local plant life, wildlife, and some very interesting historical facts.  This is a great activity for families and individuals who want to gain a greater appreciation of our National Forest. Nature walks are not strenuous and designed for all levels of physical conditioning. Free!

Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve

Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve is a wonderful spot for wildflower viewing! Stop by and get information about what's in bloom and a chance to see the amazing pebble plain flowers found only in the Big Bear Valley. The visitor information center is staffed with volunteers and open in partnership with the Southern California Mountains Foundation and California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Free guided wildflower walks at 11:30am.
