Evening Program-Mush for Gold

Robert Stradley, veteran competitive musher and founder of the non-profit organization Adventure Quest Institute, Inc., will present a humorous and high energy program sharing what he has learned about life through his work with these amazing athletes. Meet real working sled dogs, take pictures standing on a dog sled dressed in Artic gear. Fun for the whole familly! Suggested donation $5 Sponsored by California Land Management.

Gold Panning

Learn how to pan for gold!  Children will learn the process of goldpanning, using real panning equipment.  The "gold" is pyrite, and children can take home thieir findings along with a certificate! Fee: $3

Join us for a 45 minute nature walk to learn about the local plant life, wildlife, and some very interesting historical facts.  This is a great activity for families and individuals who want to gain a greater appreciation for our National Forest.  Nature walks are not strenuous and designed for all levels of physical conditioning.  Free!
