Evening Program-Mush for Gold

Robert Stradley, veteran competitive musher and founder of the non-profit organization Adventure Quest Institute, Inc., will present a humorous and high energy program sharing what he has learned about life through his work with these amazing athletes. Meet real working sled dogs, take pictures standing on a dog sled dressed in Artic gear. Fun for the whole familly! Suggested donation $5 Sponsored by California Land Management.

Build a Birdhouse

Bluebirds will love your yard with this well designed birdhouse that you can build! We will provide kits for individuals or families to build together during this program sponsored by Butcher's Block.  Class limited to 20 people, first come, first serve.

Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve

Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve is a wonderful spot for wildflower viewing!  Stop by and get information about what's in bloom and get a chance to see the amazing pebble plain flowers found only in the Big Bear Valley! A guided wildflower walk with one of our volunteer naturalists begins at 11:30am.

Gold Panning

Learn how to pan for gold!  Children will learn the process of goldpanning, using real panning equipment.  The "gold" is pyrite, and children can take home thieir findings along with a certificate! Fee: $3
